As a business entity engaged in the electricity sector, PT. Galleon Cahaya Investama must have a proper business entity certificate. As with companies, technicians must also have competency certificates issued by associations or related institutions, as standardization and legality of the competence of electrical engineering personnel.
Related to this, Galleon consistently supports and encourages the development of every human resource in the company. Recently, a Galleon Technician took part in the Competency Certification (Serkom) held by the Indonesian Association of Electrical-Mechanical Professionals (APEI) DKI Jakarta. The sub-sectors taken are at Level 3, namely the Main Executor of Development and Installation of Steam Power Plants (PLTU) with the core competency of building and installing transformers. For elective competence, there are 2 choices taken, namely in the field of construction and installation of switch gear for high voltage and low voltage as well as construction and installation of transformers.
This competency certification lasts for 3 days, starting from 14-16 July 2020 online via Zoom Meeting. Serkom begins with the opening and written examination related to the field taken, followed by the second day with direct observation to places related to PLTU activities. On the third day, interviews and questions and answers were held from the testing team regarding knowledge in the field of PLTU and the results of observations that had been carried out, as well as the closing and signing of the Integrity Pact.
The benefits obtained by participating in this Serkom are to improve the quality and quality of work, as legality for workers and companies, and to be able to provide more services to customers, in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Hopefully, with this competency certification, Galleon’s technical staff will gain more experience and knowledge to further improve their capabilities and performance in the electricity sector.
