The Covid-19 pandemic, which has spread since the beginning of the year until now, has become a frightening specter for many people, both the government, employers, workers and the general public. The government has set rules or protocols to break the chain of transmission of covid-19, be it by imposing Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), establishing distribution zones, updating the latest information regarding covid-19, to eliminating activities that involve physical contact or a crowd. Starting from March to September, everything has been done to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
In line with the government’s efforts and in order to support health workers in deciding the spread of Covid-19, at the PT. Galleon Cahaya Investama has also implemented a covid-19 prevention protocol. Through the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Galleon implements the covid-19 prevention protocol in order to protect families in the Galleon and in the environment where employees live. The task force is tasked with making rules regarding the implementation of the covid prevention protocol, both for the office and in the Galleon warehouse. In addition to employees, the Task Force also makes rules in terms of receiving guests and packages or food from outside the office. The Task Force also stipulates sanctions for employees who violate the rules that have been set. The purpose of holding sanctions is solely to encourage employee awareness to pay attention to and implement the applicable health protocols, because we believe that if there is 1 person who actually implements the health protocol, then he will be able to become an agent breaking the chain of Covid-19.
The use of masks, hand sanitizers, washing hands and keeping a safe distance are things that must be done by all employees. Maintaining cleanliness and spraying disinfectants are also carried out regularly every 3 hours in places that are often exposed to contact. Galleon also procures vitamins, masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectants and regular rapid tests to determine the condition of all employees. With the task force and a series of protocols set at Galleon, it is hoped that all Galleon employees can maintain health together and can become agents to break the chain of transmission of Covid 19.
